Elsabe - I really enjoyed reading your very moving piece about who is in command. It is great to read something like this to remind ourselves to take stock, slow down and reflect. Like you said there is always something to learn in all our daily experiences.

thankyou elsabe for letting us into that incident
recently i also had a trip with a wonderful lady on my side
being a male - i forgot to pack the roadmaps - and relied on my '' instincts ''
being angered with myself i let her take over - and she relied on her psychic feelings - which by now was also mixedup because of my emotions
well -- we got there eventually
this showed me again that to be selforganised is the start to a happy ending in which you will bond with others likewise
i do regret not telling the lady enough how i appreciate her and her attempts to get us '' there ''
because i let fear and danger cloud my common sense
keep upp the gooood work

l have recently retired and live on a badly performing pension( a third of what was was promised) but for the first time for many years l live a life which is stress free, l look forward to the week ahead, no longer get upset by political or economic news and do the things l always wanted to do but never had the time to do.

Yes l was one of those capitalist foot soldiers whose fortunes went up or down depending on who was in charge of my working life at the time,- l spent a lot of time praying that my boss of the day would be promoted out of my department, and out of my life,- sometimes prayed that they would be run over by a bus . l have worked for firms where l was well employed and worked for those where l was badly employed and hated every day at work. My advice is become self employed if at all possible, even if all you do is fix lawn-mowers, l found twenty years ago that being your own boss is happiness and contentment all wrapped up in one. l would spend every Sunday evening planning the week ahead and set that time aside so l could answer any calls from my employees who had concerns or problems that might affect the working week ahead, this was essential as l learnt more in these phone calls than l would when it was all go-go during the week and used that time to bond with them and to convey the message that they worked "with" me and not for me, the exact opposite of which l experienced when l was an employee.
