What Do You Think You Are?

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Here is a little exercise for you.

Quickly write down three things you believe about yourself on a piece of paper. Put the paper in your pocket.

Now ask a few people that you have regular contact with to write down three things about you on separate pieces of paper.

Compare the notes.

Who said the positive things about you?

Who said the negative things about you?

Oh, and remember to express gratitude for what you feel when you read the notes.

Believing Is Seeing

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Let’s say I need to have £500 by Monday to pay my mortgage.

Here is an example of “Seeing is believing”: I don’t know where the money will come from. You suggest a long list of steps that I can take to find the money in time. However, I have tried those things before and they did not work. So I say “seeing is believing” and guess what? I wait, and I don’t see the results, and I say “Seeing is believing, and I don’t believe you”.

Now here is an example of “Believing is seeing”: I know from experience that the best way to get things done is to decide what needs to be done, and then to do it. I know I am creative and resourceful. I have a service to sell and I know who my regular buyers are. I feel obliged to give them value for money, and I make them an offer that is attractive to them. 5% of the buyers take up the offer and I get not only excellent feedback on how I satisfied their needs, but I also get £700 for my efforts. I say “Believing is seeing”, and I have proven my self correct.

Agreed, the difference lies in the action, but the action starts with the belief, which starts with you.

If you can, watch the movie “In Pursuit of Happiness” with Will Smith in the lead role. That is an excellent example of “believing is seeing”.

Seeing Is Believing

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Seeing is believing, they say.

But what if it is the other way round?

What if you first need to believe, so that the thought can take shape from your unconscious, so that you can then see what you created because you believed?

What Keeps The Doctor Away?

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Hello Lovely People

I know many people who either disagree with my views on spirituality, or who are so afraid of my activities and views that they will not even open my website. They do not know what I do or believe, but they know it is “wrong” and they stay as far away from me as possible.

I am quite OK with that – my mission is not to convert the world. We all have our own beliefs, and some people have more fears and prejudices than others to overcome.

For me it is wrong to try and convince or convert other people. However, there are practical situations where my beliefs are tested. I love these situations, because if my beliefs do not pass the test, then I have to search further for the truth and dig deeper until the situation makes sense to me.

I stay away from Western doctors and medication, because I have researched the topic and understand the dangers that the pharmaceutical industry expose us to. When I have an ache or pain, I find the metaphysical cause, deal with it and make the changes that are required in my thinking and my lifestyle. That is my belief and it works for me.

Somebody close to me believes that the doctor is there to give prescriptions that takes aches and pains away. Now different doctors give different prescriptions that result in, in my opinion, a dangerous chemical cocktail. From a distance I can clearly see that the result of this cocktail in an old, unwell person is increased delusions and dementia. But in that situation I am not a doctor, I am not even a Christian, and I live on the other side of the world, so my opinion “does not count”.

Do I step back and say that I will not convince other people of my beliefs? Or do I step in and say stop the madness and for once listen to me?

I did act. I asked questions and I was promised answers – they will talk to the doctor. This will not change their worship of the doctor as the one who brings relief, but at least the doctor will have to provide some answers and re-think those prescriptions and the side-effets. I will ask questions until I get answers that make me sleep at night. And I accept that someone who has never taken ownership for his body and thoughts will not do it now to please me – especially when he no longer has the clarity of mind to have even a simple conversation. If I insist on taking all the medication away, it will be seen as a loveless act.

The other thing I do is send unconditional love and healing – I do not need permission or explanation to do that, and I know that no matter what is said on the surface, spiritually we speak the same language of Love. And it is possible to neutralize the medication by focusing on his good health. Nobody can prevent me from doing that and I know it works – so I have to work harder with meditation and healing.

Spirituality has to work when we want to save the planet, as well as on a day-to-day basis. Being up in the clouds only works up to a point, and then we have to practice what we preach – or change our preachings.

Will You Believe It When You See It?

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Are you one of those people who will believe miracles only when you see them?

It should be interesting to keep a record of every miracle you see. Notice how long you have to wait from one miracle to the next.

If you want to shorten the time between miracles, try to turn your approach around.

First believe in miracles, then see how often they appear.

You Think You Know Everything About my Beliefs?

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

Hello Lovely People

One day at the race course, Jack was not doing very well. Then he saw an old priest get onto the course and bless one of the horses in the fourth race. The horse was an outside bet but it won!

Before the next race, the old priest went onto the course again and blessed a horse. Jack quickly placed a small bet on this horse, which was also an outside bet, but it also won!

Jack collected his winnings and carefully watched the priest. He placed a much bigger bet on the horse that the priest blessed before the sixth race, and won again – a hefty sum!

Jack rushed to the ATM, withdrew all his savings, and watched the old priest, with all his winnings and savings ready for the final bet.

The priest went on to the course and blessed the forehead of a very old mare, probably the horse who stood least chance of winning anything on the day. The priest went on and also blessed the eyes, ears, and legs of the old mare.

Jakes bet every penny he had on this horse, and anxiously waited for the race to start.

Then disaster struck – not only did the old mare not win, she in fact dropped dead close to the end of the race.

Jack was shocked! He confronted the priest and said “Father” What happened? You have been blessing horses all day and they all won. Then, in the last race, not only did the horse not win, it died! I have lost all my savings!”

The old priest gave Jack a sympathetic nod. “Son,” he said, “that is the problem with you Protestants – you don’t know the difference between a simple blessing and the last rites!”

And the moral of the story is . . . .
