Chakras: How to Express Your Emotional Maturity

Friday, November 26th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Do you know where your relationship with your inner self is seated in your body?  I am always interested in how people’s words and actions give away their views about themselves and their world.

I recently checked in for an international flight – economy class, which I will probably use even if I can afford business class.  Most airlines give you the same value for money in both classes anyway, with a few added token gestures that relate more to the ego of the passenger than the service offered.

Behind me in the queue was a woman that I can safely describe as morbidly obese.  I was in my own world and not even aware of her until she asked me why I did not have my luggage wrapped in plastic for additional security.  Of course I can say to some people that security is an expectation and attitude rather than a roll of plastic and that I prefer using my angels for protection.  She was not one of those people.

This was an early check-in with only one queue, and she did not enjoy having to wait behind me, since she was flying business class.  She was going to insist on having her luggage wrapped for free, because “people steal” and after all, she “was entitled” to this additional service.  The airline did not offer or pay for the wrapping service, but she did not care.

This woman was an excellent example of control that is centred in the base chakra.  A chakra is a spinning energy wheel, and there are seven main chakras in your body.  The base chakra can be found at the bottom of your spine and represents our basic, primitive needs for food, shelter, safety and security.

(If you want to feel a spinning chakra, rub your palms together quickly for about 20 seconds.  You will feel a subtle tingling in your palms when you have speeded up the minor chakras in your palms.)

The woman passenger will eat anything she can get in any quantity, never questioning the effect on her struggling body.  All her actions are based on the needs of “me, myself and I”, and the thought of considering others will not even cross her mind.

How can she move to a higher chakra? The next, sacral chakra is seated just below the navel.  This chakra represents “me and my tribe”.  When she becomes aware of being part of a bigger world, she will protect her children or protégés and share food and shelter with those people that are close to her.  This is still along way from making the world a better place, but hey, one step at a time.

Until she feels secure in herself, this is the business class passenger who will demand extra services and attention for free, not because she cannot afford to pay, but because there is no space for anyone else in her world.

Bad Energy Rubs Off

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

I like to believe that there is good in every person, and all we need to do is keep looking and keep loving.

I am also realistic because life has taught me that this approach only works up to a point. Some people are on this earth to spread poison and malice, and with the best will in the world you cannot change them, because their mission is not to change.

There have been times in my life when I was so bombarded with negative energy that I felt I was being dragged down into the same space as the people who projected their lack of self-love on me. I have had to make some very hard decisions about people that were supposed to be close to me, but who were clearly out to destroy me. I had to distance myself from those people and it was very painful but necessary for my own survival.

The consequence was that by detaching myself from the person and the situation, I discovered what those people had to teach me. I was then able to appreciate the wisdom I gained from them and think of them with unconditional love – or so I thought. The love was there, but on the condition that despite my gratitude towards them, I had to stay away from them if I wanted to be my true self.

I discovered that as people we are not capable of unconditional love, but we are capable of forgiveness – in the sense that forgiveness means understanding what those people have had to teach us, and feeling gratitude for the wisdom we gained from our experience.

Social media is no different from life – in fact, social media contacts are probably even more intense and instructive than having personal contact with people.

When we have personal contact with people, we can lie and pretend, and get away with it for a while. With social media, every word and sentence you type carries its own energy, and people pick that energy up, even if they deny that such energy exists.

I have blocked contact with a handful of people of the type of “hi mem I want to merry nice amerikin girl mem do you life alone mem”. I have blocked contact with one other person who was incredibly destructive and who on more than one occasion had a field day while intoxicated, only to brag about the situation afterwards.

I do believe in freedom of speech, and I also believe that bad energy rubs off. There are times when you have to decide to either love and leave a contact, or be dragged down to the level where that contact feels comfortable. This is no different from life away from the internet, just more intense and therefore happening much faster.

If you ever decide to block a social media contact, I trust that you will do it with love and understanding rather than with anger and resentment.

Where Is Your Energy Blockage?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Hello Lovely People

There is a stream of energy that flows through your body from top to bottom and upwards, also clockwise and anticlockwise around your body.

Where that stream of energy is blocked, it is as if the stream hits the same obstacle time and again, until the cells in that part of the body become too tired to function. This is called dis-ease.

Your body tells you where the energy blockage is. If the symptoms are not physically visible, do an imaginary scan of your body and see where your energy does not flow freely. That is the area in your life where you need to resolve stress.

What is Energy?

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Hello lovely people

Have you ever wondered what this ”energy” is that so many people talk about?

I bet you sometimes think they have an over-active imagination.

Try this:  rub your hand palms together vigorously for about 30 seconds.

Then place your hands about a meter apart, palms facing each other.

SLOWLY bring your hand palms closer together.

At some point you will probably feel that your palms are pressing into an invisible air bubble that you can actually play with.

That is the energy field around your body.

Of course you can continue until press your palms together.  The energy does not disappear, it just gets displaced elsewhere.

Please leave a comment if you feel inspired.

What is Emotion?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Hello Lovely People

Emotion is energy in motion.

When you experience any strong emotion, this is reflected in your body.

Imagine feeling happy and smile as big as you can.

Now imagine feeling angry and feel how your entire body changes – not just your face.

When you changed your emotion, your energy was set into motion.

This was reflected in your body.

Imagine harnessing all that energy and using it to achieve what you want!

Please leave a comment if you feel inspired.
