Are you sick and tired of struggling?
Do you want a permanent solution to your
stress, depression and anxiety?
Do you feel that people are expecting too much of you? Modern life is full of demands. This is good as long as you enjoy what you do. But what if something you used to enjoy has become a burden?
Do you feel completely overloaded with information? There is so much information available and it is all supposed to make our life easier.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I open my email inbox and my heart sinks when I see the number of emails and I think how long it will take me to deal with them.
Of course if you have focus and direction, you have less stress. But often people are more motivated by moving away from guilt, pain and stress than by working towards a burning passion.
If you are simply too tired to get through the day, a burning passion to achieve anything is the furthest from your mind. What a waste of energy!
Feeling trapped in an empty life can be equally stressful. We all want something to live for. If you are left with not much to do and wondering who you are and what you are doing here, that can be as stressful as being overloaded with trivialities.
A lack of control over your life results
in stress.
Is this a picture of your life? Tick off all the things that are declining for you, and all the things that are increasing for you. The closer your total score is to 16, the more you need to read on.

Do you feel stressed, depressed or anxious
about work?
This is a quote from the Wall Street Journal in September 2009: “A recent study reported that 52% of working French don’t sleep well on Sunday night. But work-related stress is not a French disease, and is ubiquitous and severe in all developed economies. In the U.K. and U.S. 70% of employees don’t sleep well on Sunday night either.”
That means
- 19 302 500 French workers
- 98 413 700 Americans and
- 21 700 000 British people
spent their Sunday nights tossing and turning in September of 2009, instead of getting a good night’s sleep.
Were you one of them? Are you also unable to relax when you think about work? And sadly we do not stop thinking about work, even when we are on holiday.
Now here is another fact which does not come as a surprise:
Studies in the USA, UK, Sweden, Canada and other Western countries show that millions of people suffer from stress in the workplace.
Many people are overloaded, just like you probably are. Others feel they have no control over what they do at work.
People work for bosses who continuously change their minds and place unreasonable demands on subordinates. Bosses do not realise that their lack of focus and inconsistency are a form of bullying of their employees.
There are targets to be met. As a result of the recession, many people work even harder so that they can keep their jobs.
Of course this stress spills over to all areas of your live.
If you spend a lot of your time at work, you are still left with all the tasks of running a home and a family.
Stress from work leaves you exhausted, but that is no excuse and you just have to keep going until you have satisfied everyone else’s needs. This leaves you even more stressed, feeling empty and lonely.
Do you feel stressed, depressed
or anxious about your personal life?
Are you simply too tired to give your family and relationship the quality attention that they require?
Or is a relationship something you would like to have but shy away from because you simply do not have the energy to get to know anyone else?
Over 30% of US adults experience enough stress every day to impact on their performance at work or at home.
You know that when you go to work, your home stress sits right on your shoulder all day, nagging in your ear.
When you go home, your work stress makes you kick the dog and snap at the children. No wonder the divorce rate is so high.
Are you concerned about keeping your job? Are you worried about money and finances? Do you feel quote anxious about the future?
In 2007/2008 alone, an estimated 13.5 million working days were lost in the UK alone due to stress, depression and anxiety.
How many of these people found a way to resolve their stress before they returned to work, feeling refreshed and ready for their responsibilities?
I bet they took time off work, only to return to the same conditions.
What would you do if you had to return to the same stressful job every day?
Do you suffer from insomnia? Does
your body respond to stress by
being in chronic pain?
Do you listen to your body and work on resolving the dis-ease that you experience? Or do you take a sleeping pill, tranquillizer or anti-depressant and suppress the symptoms of stress?
Did you know that 25% of all medical prescriptions in the US each year are for tranquilizers, anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication? That would amount to 900 million prescriptions.
And in the UK 16.4 prescriptions per PERSON were dispensed during 2008 (and this does not even include prescriptions for children or the elderly). This includes more than 36 million prescriptions for anti-depressants in the UK alone.
And this medication does not make the cause of any stress, tension, depression and anxiety go away. It simply suppresses the symptoms. As a result your body works harder to make you aware of the symptoms.
It is as if your body is shouting to you “Listen to me! I am in pain and I cannot continue like this!”
And how do you respond? You take a pill and say to your body “Shut up, will you? I don’t know of any other way to feel better!”
And over time you need more medication to get your body to remain quiet.
Did you know that your body in its natural state is a masterpiece of chemical balance? When you add medication, or concentrated chemicals, you disturb that masterpiece.
Your body works to regain its balance, but as long as the stress is there, the symptoms will remain. And as long as the symptoms are there, you will take medication to relieve the symptoms.
Guess what the outcome is too often?
It costs from $10 000 to $40 000 per person for a drug rehabilitation programme of about 6 weeks in the US.
And once you have put the drugs behind you, can you then say that your stress is resolved? If you can, good for you. But what if you return to the same environment, relationship or job, and the same stress returns?
Some people veer from one addiction to another, without ever addressing the reason for hiding behind the smokescreen of that addiction. They would give up smoking and turn to alcohol or food. Or they would eat less and start smoking. Does any of that resolve the cause of the stress?
You know the answer as well as I do.
About 22 345 000 Americans over the age of 12 binge drink at least once a month. Yes, that is more than 22 million people.
Each of them affects at least 5 people by their behaviour. Do the math – if you can find a big enough calculator. That does not seem like a solution to me.
If you are already stressed out, you do not even want to think about those past experiences that make you feel guilty or ashamed. Of course you can shut that door closely, but those experiences continue to bubble below the surface until you have resolved them.
I am sure you would not argue that an addiction of any kind is harmful to you. Some addictions, like cigarettes, are equally harmful to others.
I was once told that a person who is addicted to anything uses the addiction to try and kill a part of themselves that they do not want to live with. They do not even care that they in fact eventually kill all of themselves.
And too many people see suicide as the only way out of their stress. Suicide does not remove the cause of the stress. It just stops the symptoms.
If stress results in violence against yourself (like addictions) or violence against others, something is seriously wrong in the world we live in. And it is all so unnecessary, because it is always possible to resolve the cause of the stress.
Are you concerned about dying before your children do?
Did you know when you are stressed,
your body ages up to 30 years?
This is because when you experience stress, your body has to work extra hard to try and remain balanced
When you remove the cause of the stress, your body returns to its real age.
But if you do not remove the cause of the stress, you eventually develop health problems.
Physical stress is expressed in a large number of physical dis-eases including high blood pressure, diabetes, digestive problems, insomnia, heart problems, headaches etc.
Treating these dis-eases does not make the stress disappear. You still have to deal with the cause of the stress.
Removing the cause of the stress often requires changes in the way you think, your lifestyle or your perceptions of past situations.
Are there things from your past that you are struggling to let go of? Or do you hold on to experiences and ideas that no longer serve you in any way, simply because you are afraid to let go?
Are you afraid to make changes in case they are wrong for you? Do you want to continue to trade your life away in a situation that is just not right for you?
Here is something for you to think about:
New Year’s resolutions are always aimed at coping with stress.
Do you know anyone who succeeds in keeping these resolutions? Have you experienced the stress of realising that you failed in your New Year’s resolutions?
Removing the symptoms of stress does not remove the cause of stress. And as long as you deal with your stress in a particular way, your stress will return.
As Tony Robbins said “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
What if you drastically change the way you deal with your stress and it actually works?
Assume you have an average life span of 70 years (it may be longer, but let’s make the maths easy).
Now assume your current level of unresolved stress related to each one of these life incidents reduces your life span by at least 5 years:
• Death of a spouse
• Death of a life partner
• Death of a close family member
• Marriage
• Pregnancy
• Raising a child
• Divorce
• Marital separation
• Ending a relationship
• Going to prison
• Feeling emotionally trapped in a situation you believe you cannot change
• Physical injury
• Illness
• Losing your job for any reason (including retirement, redundancy or resignation)
Start from the average life span of 70, and distract just 5 years for every event that
• You are currently experiencing
• You know will happen in the next 6 months
• You have experienced in the past and not put behind you.
What age does that leave you with? If you continue as you do at the moment, how many years do you have left? What would be your life quality?
Is that really what you want for yourself in the future?
At what price do you want to continue your life as it is now for the next 5 or 10 or 20 years?
Let me tell you about myself.
My name is Elsabe Smit. I was born in a (very) small village more or less in the middle of South Africa. My family was (still are) very conservative, middle-class, protestant.
I went to six different schools in twelve years. This did not exactly allow for close friendships and firm roots. I started wondering early in life why that experience made me secure in myself and set me free, while others with similar experiences spend their entire lives craving stability and firm roots.
From there I went on to achieve four degrees and became a qualified psychologist. I have a successful career behind me as a university lecturer, author and co-author of several books, and various senior positions in HR management.
I am also qualified as an NLP Master Practitioner, amongst other things.
Somehow none of my academic knowledge made me immune to stress. As a psychologist I still had bad life experiences. As a senior manager, when I was supposedly in control, the bad experiences did not suddenly stop.
Does this mean I am not in control of my life? On the contrary. People often tell me that they would love to live my life, because they see how I handle the things that life throws at me.
And yes, if you look at my life on the surface, I am very fortunate and blessed.
This has not always been the case.
I have had a life that I used to describe as rocky, but now that I understand the patterns behind our experiences, I choose to describe my life as very interesting.
Here are the questions which puzzled me (especially when I had my own rocky patches) when I was studying, practising psychology and a regular church goer:
- If so many people are suffering from stress, why is it that experts struggle to define stress?
- If you cannot define stress, then does it mean that stress does not exist?
Or
- Are the experts looking in the wrong places for the definition of stress?
- Why is it that some people thrive on the same situations which other people find extremely stressful?
- And why did I feel even more stressed when I tried and failed to find solutions in the church?
As a result of my upbringing my initial port of call during stressful times was organised religion. However, I realised early in life that there are discrepancies in religion that could not be explained away.
So while I was doing some “white-water rafting” through my own life, I could not find a solution in any academic textbook. I could not find a solution in organised religion.
But something made me continue searching for the truth, and what an interesting journey it has been!
I am very pleased to tell you that I have found ways to resolve stress.
I apply these ways in my own life on a daily basis.
You say but my methods cannot be successful if I have to apply them every day?
Do you really think that if you can resolve the current causes of your stress, you will never experience stress again? Think again.
You will not suddenly stop experiencing life.
What I can guarantee, is that you will experience life in a completely different way.
You will still become aware of stress, but instead of reaching for a pill, a chocolate, a cigarette or a drink, you will smile, sit up and say to yourself: “Let me fasten my seatbelt – I am going to enjoy this rollercoaster.”
Imagine feeling confident and in control of your life.
Imagine facing your day-to-day problems and dealing with them before they get out of hand.
Imagine sleeping like a baby every night and waking up feeling refreshed and ready for the day.
It is possible.
Would you like to see amazing results in your life? If you can manage any stressful event, just think how you can use your energy to make your wildest dreams come true rather than just struggle through the day. You can.
How about living a life virtually free of physical or emotional pain? The amazing thing is that once you become used to a very low level of stress, you also become aware of the moment when your stress level increases. At that point you can take control and resolve the cause of the stress, long before it gets out of hand.
Do you have any idea how empowering it is to no longer fear anything? Can you imagine living a life with no anxiety and only excitement?
And how about getting real, repeatable results when you deal with your life issues and see them go away one after the other?
Stress is a result of inner conflict. This happens where the world and people act in a way that you do not expect. The knee-jerk reaction to this inner conflict is to expect the world to change.
Guess what: it ain’t gonna happen.
And because the world and people do not change to please you, the inner conflict remains until you resolve it yourself.
Do you want to feel good about yourself?
Then you will have to learn to accept and love yourself. That is the most empowering and liberating experience you can imagine.
Do you want to understand your past experiences and finally move on? Yes, yes, you can tell me you have done that already.
But can you say, hand on heart, that when you look back and think of any painful, hurtful, resentful, angry, anxious, depressing past experience, you can only feel gratitude and Love?
I thought not.
If you feel anything other than gratitude and Love about a past experience, that experience still causes you some (or lots of) stress. As long as you carry those emotions in you, there is something in you that needs to change. It is possible to make that change and enhance the quality of your life permanently.
Inner conflict is a duality in yourself, striving to become whole. You are the only one who can achieve this wholeness. No medication or therapy can do it for you.
Do you want to resolve those problems that have stymied you for a long time?
Imagine talking about any past experience, no matter how horrific or upsetting it was, and not feeling any emotion about it – not because you are suppressing the emotion, but because the emotion is no longer there.
Imagine being able to say, from your heart, that you forgive people who have done things to you in the past. And even better, how would you feel when you finally understand why you had your past experiences? Imagine no longer having any guilt or shame.
Would you like tools and methods that help you to resolve any problems at any time?
You are at the moment used to living with a lot of stress in your body. I can tell you: not having that same stress will take some getting used to. It would be like walking around without a ball and chain after years of dragging that ball and chain after you.
But believe me, this is one change that you will love from day one.
When you understand what is happening to you, even when it is not pleasant, you are back in control.
Why do you have a job? Why do you run a business? Is it because you want to create abundance for yourself in many areas of your life?
It is possible to create that abundance.
But if you try and create abundance and get completely stressed out while doing it, then you are wasting your energy.
Abundance comes naturally when you are
not stressed out.
When you are full of energy and ready to take on the world, you would be surprised at how easily things happen.
But when you see everything and everyone around you as the cause of your stress, then you spend all that energy fighting people and experiences.
This can only result in exhaustion, lethargy, insomnia and many other forms of dis-ease. Fighting in this way is like trying to get the sea to stop making waves.
Maybe it is time to re-think your approach to coping with your stress?
The traditional attempts at defining stress always list a vast number of stressors, such as
• Serious or terminal illness
• Job changes (including retirement, redundancy or dismissal)
• Moving house
• Getting married or ending a relationship
• Going to prison
• And so the list goes on.
Every single one of these incidents is part of life. If we stop having these events, we are no longer alive. Governments can bring out all the legislation they want against these events and they will still happen.
Did legislation against other stressful events such as rape, murder, burglary and other crimes stop those crimes? Of course not. They still happen. They still cause stress. People still have to deal with them.
But here is the secret: none of these events happen by accident. Removing so-called “stressors” or trying to reduce them will not take the stress away.
Each one of the incidents that are normally described as stressors” are caused by inner conflict.
This inner conflict is part of our lives. You can continue to deny the inner conflict and cover it up with medication, legislation, denial or the numerous methods that have been applied so many times without success.
Or you can learn powerful techniques to resolve that inner conflict.
Do you want to life your life with purpose? Or do you want to rather continue to fight the symptoms of stress? The choice is yours and yours only.
The first step in coping with your stress is taking responsibility for it. This means you can no longer blame other people for your stress.
Do you want to turn stress into creativity? I am sure if you are in physical or emotional pain right now, your answer will be “yes, please”.
The techniques that I teach help you do exactly that. You learn to integrate conflicting thoughts, decisions and emotions. You learn to release the stress and use that same energy to enjoy life to the full.
Stress is a natural part of our existence. We turn stress into dis-ease by refusing to see that the cause of all stress is an inner duality that needs to be healed.
“Good stress” and “bad stress” are labels that we like to add to our experiences.
Stress is stress.
How you choose to interpret the cause and symptoms of stress determine how much benefit you achieve from stressful situations.
But how can you turn stressful experiences into a sense of well-being, you may ask?
You will find the answer in this course. Imagine being able to take your stressful experiences one after the other and converting them into healthy energy.
This would be like taking your own can full of worms, and converting each worm into a beautiful butterfly. Wouldn’t that be magic? It worked for me!
Have you ever taken a rubber band between your fingers and stretched your fingers as far apart as possible? That is the kind of thing that happens inside of you when you are anxious, stressed or depressed.
Funny enough, that is the same kind of thing that happens inside of you when you prepare to do something magnificent that you previously believed you were not able to do.
Have you ever asked yourself how it is possible that the same process can yield two completely opposite results?
How would you feel about turning your life-destroying stress into motivation to achieve your dreams?
For you to perform this miracle, it is important that you get in touch with your deepest inner self.
I know from experience that for some people this is a scary thought. They wonder what they would discover when they do some introspection. Because they are afraid of bad news, they choose to do nothing and rather live with their stress.
I also know form experience that people who are brave enough to find their soul, are always pleasantly surprised and never look back.
It is no co-incidence that treatments such as meditation, breathing, yoga and other relaxation techniques have immense positive effects on stressed people.
Such treatments allow people to become aware of their soul.
But what if your fear of looking inside is just one of the many fears that cause your depression and anxiety?
What if you can find a technique that will
help you to resolve all your fears?
Do you know what FEAR stands for? FEAR is False Expectations Appearing Real.
Can you remember a time when you were afraid of what would happen the next day?
And then you got through that feared day. You did, because that day is now part of your memory and you are reading this. Do you want to know the secret of getting through all those times you fear?
Part of this secret is to learn to manage your emotions.
Your emotions let you react to all kinds of things that happen to you.
Remember the last time you were driving and someone cut in and forced you to slow down? Did you say a few choice words that would embarrass you under other circumstances? Did you shout at the other driver? That was a reaction.
And every time you have such a reaction, your body reacts. Your muscles grow tense and your blood pressure increases. You get that knot on your stomach. You know the feeling.
But what if you no longer allow your emotions to run you and your body?
What if you simply slow down your car and make space for the other driver? What if you even send good wishes to the driver who obviously has not learnt the secret of responding to his experiences?
Would you feel really good if you could do that?
It is possible. And believe me, when you reach that point, your entire body will heave a sigh of relief.
You will feel physically and emotionally healthy. You will wake up in the morning, stretch yourself out and have energy for the day.
Emotions make all stressful situations worse. The secret of coping with stress is to turn emotions into feelings.
When you convert your emotions into feelings, you connect to your soul. You tap into a vast source of inner wisdom.
You say but you do not think of yourself as a wise person? You say but if you had such wisdom you would not now feel so anxious, tense and depressed?
What if you have all the wisdom you need, but you have never been taught to access and use your wisdom?
I can help you find at least six solutions to any problem you experience.
Imagine a process where solving your problems is like walking into a sweet shop every time things get rough, and picking a sweet that would take the problem away?
How much would it be worth to you to have a range of solutions to choose from every time you encounter a problem? Would you then feel that you are completely in charge of your life, no matter what happens to you?
Your stress levels increase and decrease as part of a geometric pattern.
Understanding the pattern places you in control and helps you to resolve the stress.
Once you understand the rhythm of life and the real reason why you experience stress your entire outlook on life changes. You understand the true meaning of feeling at peace.
You are filled with enthusiasm and you experience joy and happiness.
Of course you do not remove all stress from your life – life is about experiencing things that challenge us.
The massive difference is that you see each experience as exactly what it is – an experience rather than an ordeal.
Rather than an obstacle course that leaves you bruised and battered, life becomes a game. Once you have figured out the rules your chances of winning increase tenfold.
Some people win on a small scale, while others win on a much larger scale. That does not matter. What is important is that your life becomes a pleasure and a joy.
But what if most of your stress is caused by other people and what they do?
Do you spend lots of time resenting the actions of other people and how they make you suffer?
The methods which I teach you help you to understand why people treat you the way they do.
I am sure forgiving people and feeling gratitude towards them is the furthest from your mind when they cause you stress.
But don’t worry about that. My course takes you to forgiveness and gratitude one step at a time. And you would be pleasantly surprised when you read my explanation of forgiveness.
By the time you have mastered my techniques, you will experience forgiveness and gratitude without even trying or thinking about it.
The most critical parts of stress resolution are forgiveness and gratitude – but not in the way these words are normally used.
Why am I the best person to help you overcome
your stress, tension, depression and anxiety?
If an average of 1 248 people per month from about 45 countries come to my website to read about my techniques, would you agree that I must be doing something right?
Not only that – I have in the past ten years helped probably about 1348 people to regain control of their lives. Some people I have helped in person; others I have helped by means of email.
I have also helped myself to get over experiences such as
- Depression
- A nervous breakdown
- Serious illness
- A very unpleasant divorce
- Being made redundant (three times)
- Being rejected by my mother from birth
- Being bullied
- Dealing with loved ones who had addictions, and a few other experiences.
Probably my biggest discovery was the true meaning of faith – and that had nothing to do with organised religion. I have learnt to respect the views of religious people, even though I do not share those views.
I have found scientific explanations for experiences that most people believe they just have to suffer through. I have found that there is nothing noble about suffering – it stinks, to say the least – and that when you suffer, you are out on your own.
As the saying goes: “Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you cry alone.”
While you suffer from anything, the only people you attract to you are “fellow sufferers” – like being in a mud bath and having more mud poured over you.
That is not my idea of having a joyful, abundant life.
I have discovered ways to cut short any suffering, so that I could get on with my life and create experiences of joy and abundance.
I would love to share my knowledge and techniques with you.
I would love to help you find a quality of life that will make you wake up with a smile every day.
Are you willing to make a few small changes in your life and see a massive difference?
Here is what I offer to you:
- A process that deals with the cause of your stress. When you understand why you are experiencing stressful events, you are in a much better position to resolve any issue and free up the energy to focus on what you want.
- Proof that the symptoms of stress are directly related to the cause. We do not just treat the symptoms. You deal with the cause of all the emotions which go with stress, such as guilt, regret, resentment and other negative emotions which distract from your inner peace. You also get rid of any obligations to others which only exist in your mind.
- Technology which you can apply yourself. You do not need to spend lots of money on therapy. You can apply the methods at any time. You learn to manage yourself, and that gives you the power to do anything you want in your life.
- A mind-body-spirit approach. You learn how your mind and body express your spiritual state. This empowers you to resolve the cause of any issue. You learn the importance of controlling your own thoughts.
- An alternative way of dealing with stress, depression and anxiety. You discover the source of your creativity and time and again achieve the impossible. You learn what awareness means and how you can benefit from it. You learn what energy is and how to use it to remove obstacles and boundaries.
- The entire focus is on working on your inner world. You take ownership for yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually. You learn to find and keep your balance, so that you can recover quickly when you get surprises. You discover who you really are. You also discover your own boundaries and how to communicate this to the people around you. You discover limiting thoughts and beliefs and how they cause your pain, confusion and frustration. You discover how you can remove these limitations to provide for the free flow of energy.
- An honest approach with no sugar-coating. You learn the value of balanced thinking rather than positive thinking. This allows you to deal with any past, present and future challenge and interpret it in a way that is beneficial to you.
- A focus on universal human experiences. You can use the technology and approach, regardless of your belief system or culture. You can also use the same technology to resolve tension and stress of virtually any nature.
- Learn new techniques for resolving limitations and obstacles that cause stress. You regain control of your life and your stress level reduces. You can then manage your life at any time by noticing and resolving stress patterns.
- Techniques which empower you to make your own, informed choices. You no longer place your happiness in the hands of other people. You take control of your own destiny. You will do more for yourself and expect less from others.
- Focus on when and where and how you formed perceptions that you based your life on. You will find a different perspective which is there but which you might have denied or not noticed. You can then find the balance in your life and shape your own future.
The knowledge I have gained has changed my life. I have found ways to view life which makes complete sense to me and which can be proven scientifically.
After searching for many years I have discovered the truth which organised religion so successfully hid away for thousands of years.
This knowledge has made such a difference to my life that I did not want to keep it to myself for one moment longer
